I have my pay roll check coming to this blue bird prepay card .. I have money in this account that I can not withdraw or use to purchase anything. I cant check my balance and when I attempt to call the customer service there is no answer .. I need my money and they are holding my money hostage this has to be illegal

I attempted to use my card at the atm and was told the transaction couldn’t complete so I called the company around XXXX XXXX and was told “ we are sorry for the inconvenience but we can not answer any questions at this time call back in 3 hours.” I called back at XXXX XXXX and was told the exact same thing. I can’t check my balance, I have no idea if the still have my money. They have given no ETA or inclination that they even know what the issue is. I am unable to use my card and my money is being held hostage by this company. It is 5 days before XXXX. The card is Bluebird by American Express. What irks me is they have on their website that the website is down but that the cards are unaffected and can still be used, but they can’t.
