I looked into doing a balance transfer because of the interest. I researched on a few websites that compared different credit cards, looking into 0 % balance transfer offers. I went with Capital One & that was a horrible decision!! It says on their own website & 3rd party websites that they have 0 % APR on purchases & balance transfers for 15 mths. I signed up, got approved, & transferred my balance from my old CC to the Quicksilver card. I realized later on my monthly statements I’m being charged 21.74 % interest! That is much higher than my previous interest rate and I have a great credit score. Capital One tells me I agreed to these terms and there is nothing I can do & they refuse to refund me for the interest charges. Why would anyone switch over to a higher interest rate?! Then they even tried to tell me I do have an offer of {0.00} cash back if I spend {0.00} … why would I make more purchases if you already took my money?! THIS IS A BAIT & SWITCH SALES TACTIC & FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! They do not even care that I am going to close this account & let people know that they are a horrible company ( maybe because they already scammed me out of a few hundred dollars for nothing ).

Dispute is two fold : 1. Problem with being overly charged by a Rental Car Company in XXXX. Original agreement was for car rental at {0.00}. Rental Car Company submitted a bill for {00.00}. So from {0.00} to {00.00}.
2. Insurance provision of our agreement with CapitalOne is that if we use their card for travel expenses, car rental, etc., they insure the vehicle. The estimate provided by the rental company, that I initialled at the counter was {00.00}, however it was a plastic snap on bumper. It is not possible that that bumper cost {00.00}. The vehicle was returned not because of the bumper, but because it had mechanical issues ( stopped on the highway without warning, entire dash lit up and the car would not go ). It was a danger to me and my passengers. I was forced to return it to the car rental place and obtain another. I had been at a wedding in XXXX and really had not used the car that much, but once we started off to tour the country, we had all sorts of mechanical problems. It was unsafe. The Rental Car company added charges not authorized including a vehicle upgrade, transfer of fuel charges, and other misc items which were not approved by me and not proper. I disputed the charge with CapitalOne and the rental car company immediately — it was removed as a disputed amount pending a response from the rental car company. However, without contacting me and without a response from the rental car company, CapitalOne reinstated the full charge of {00.00} on my account. I contacted Customer Service again who advised they me they had not heard from me so they reinstated the charge on my account. However, that was not true. Once it was cleared up that my response was submitted, but the car rental place had not responded, I was assured CapitalOne would remove the charge and reinstate it as a disputed amount. I was also assured I would not be charged additional interest on this, nor would their be a negative report on my credit. I have excellent credit. A week or so later, CapitalOne still had not removed the {00.00}. I called again and spoke with another representative, XXXX, employee no. XXXX who was extremely aggressive and very rude and basically declined to do anything for me. XXXX suggested that I pay the bill in full and just wait to see if we heard from the rental car company and for the insurance claim provision of the charge to be paid. This was a complete about face and not proper. To date, none of that has happened and the disputed amount is still on my account. No response from either the rental car company, nor CapitalOne ‘s insurance division regarding paying for the damage under the insurance provisions of my agreement with them.

Capital one Auto finance is reporting to the 3 major credit reporting agencies that a automobile purchased in 2017 was included in a bankruptcy and that the account wasn’t paid and is being reported as closed. However the automobile is currently paid as agreed, was not included in the bankruptcy, and is still an open account. Disputes have been filed and capital one claims they are correct, dispute the fact they have copies of the purchase agreement showing when the auto was bought, the copy of the bankruptcy discharge stating the bankruptcy was filed 3 years prior to the auto being bought, copies of the current auto loan payments.

I made a one time payment of {0.00} using my debit card and thereafter the merchant processed two additional charges without my authorization.

This caused two of my Capital One Accounts to become overdrawn.

I disputed the charges with Capital One and phoned the merchant. The manager apologized, asked what card I wanted on file and debited the charges against my XXXX Credit Card Account. Additionally, as a goodwill gesture the manager issued an additional credit ( lifetime bucks ) to my merchant account.

Today Capital One advised that my dispute was denied and that they would be debiting my account on XX/XX/19 for the charges. I phone Capital One and advised that I spoke with the company and provided the details of what occurred and that by debiting my Capital One account they would have paid the merchant twice.

It is my belief that Capital One is not being thorough in its investigation and trying to make me perform their job.

I applied for this offer : https : //www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/quicksilver/ I was immediately declined with no explanation. My credit score is over 850. I have a 25+Year Credit History with zero late payments. I have no debt other than a small mortgage ( $ XXXX. ) Immediately after applying, I was offered a {0.00} credit card from the same bank with different rates and no Bonus offer. I was not interested in that card so I rejected the offer. Nor would I have allowed Capital One to pull my credit report if they had disclosed that their promotional offer would be switched to a different product during the application process.

I feel that this is bait and switch and that they purposely offer a bonus only to reject the application and offer another product in it’s place, just to gain personal information and pull credit.

I have contacted the company and they state that the reason they declined is confidential and that they can not discuss it with me. This seems very shady to say the least. They have obtained my personal information and pulled my credit score based on a false offer.

I was shocked when reviewing my credit report and found a late payment on the date below : 30 days late as of XX/XX/2019 I am not sure how this happened. I believe I made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my statement did not get to me.
