Capital One owes me {0.00} but refuses to send me a check I can cash.
I have had 3 credit cards with Capital one for years. Never late, never over limit. Then a stranger got 2 of my cards and ran up charges for 3 days. You never think it will happen to you. To be safe, I sent in payments of {00.00} to each card. When the dust cleared, I had an {0.00} balance overpaid on one card. That was last XXXX.
It took months, but Capital one finally sent me a check, but it was made out only to my business. The card had both my name and the business name – statements also carried both names. I am XXXX, on XXXX, and retired 2 years ago and closed the business. I didn’t really think about the cards. My bank will not accept a check made out to a business that no longer exists. I had told XXXX XXXX about this during the fraud investigation. I have, now, called 4 times the last 4 weeks as I was promised a check in my name over a month ago. Capital One owes me {0.00} for 6 months, now. If it was them, they would be charging me interest and destroying my credit ( which is 780+ by the way ). Their trained monkeys just can not seem to deal with this properly even if I stay on the phone for 30 minutes. I returned the original check to Capital One a month ago. I want my money back!!!
I am tired of calling and getting trained monkeys who either can’t figure out that I am owed a check or claim that my ” record ” is not clear that they owe me a check. XXXX XXXX – XXXX, ext XXXX – Promised me a check in my name well over a month ago.

I was issued a credit card that had a rewards program in which the points where to be used towards the purchase of a vehicle from XXXX. I did not know this until the first use, so after discussing the matter over the phone that I was not interested in buying a car but just getting cash back. Then they exchange that card for one with cash back and even though I have at the present time {.00} on the rewards program, they claim that I am starting a new account and do not qualify for cash back. On the other card I had {0.00} It is my opinion, that this is a typical ” Bait and Switch operation ”. This card is called the ” extended family card ” from Capital One and the least amount you need is XXXX dollars to qualify for cash back. Thank you
