Company Official Name: CITIBANK, N.A.
State: NY
Product: Credit card or prepaid card
Sub-Product: General-purpose credit card or charge card
Issue: Problem when making payments
Sub-Issue: Problem during payment process
Full Complaint:
Payments were made to XXXX MASTERCARD ( 17 ). I pay my bills by XXXX bill pay, so one digit was put in incorrectly into the system, the payments got lost in the system. It was caught many payments later. I explained what happened to XXXX. After months of dealing with overseas tele representatives, who really did not know what was going on, they decided that I really wanted the payments that I made on my card to be made on my husband`s card. NO notice give, they took the credits from my account and put them on my husband`s account. Is that even legal? I have all the transaction and trace numbers. I really would like this matter to could to some resolution and quickly. I even had one representative tell me ” that`s a lot of payments for one month ”. meaning, I must have meant some of them for my husband.
payments start from : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {0.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} XX/XX/XXXX ” {.00} All these payments were deducted from my account and deposited to my husbands account, however they should have been deposited to his account and my account left. I have all my credits for my accounts too as proof of payment, that they were meant to go to my account. I am not a well person and we have financial difficulties as are many families at this time. we certainly do not need this.
One foot note to add is I pay all the house hold bills, so the check will have my name on it, but the account number is my husbands. the fourth from last digit was incorrect on the account. my number is nothing like my husbands number.

Sub-Issue: Cashing a check
Full Complaint:
To whom it may concern, I was expecting to receive a check from Citi Bank late last year regarding to the reimbursement of car insurance. Not only I did not receive my check, but also told by Citi Bank that the missing check was instead cashed by one of the XXXX XXXX Branch. I have confirmed with Citi Bank that the only payee on the check is me so that the check is cashed unauthorized.
I have been contacting Citi Bank since the incident was aware, however, they report that they can only provide me up to the information of cash date, XXXX XXXX branch, and the check number and refuse to escalate this issue to their Treasury Department for further handling.
I have also contact XXXX XXXX about this issue since I am also an account holder of XXXX XXXX, but they only reply that this issue can only be handled by Citi Bank and also refuse for further handling.
I have information including the Citi Bank Claim Number ( also their reference number of the case ), check number, Branch information where the missing check is cashed, cash date, and check amount upon your further request.
your help is sincerely appreciated
