I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

As you will see on the following screenshots, the e-mail conversation between XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Customer ) ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX @ XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Supplier ) ( XXXX XXXX. These are the official accounts we are always communicating through.
The swindler was able to get into the conversation hacking our accounts and carrying out a fraud using the fake e-mail address : ( XXXX ) as our supplier, which one could fool us so we didnt suspect and XXXX our second account ( XXXX ).
So, based on false information, we proceeded to send wire transfer for {000.00} to the fraudlent account of hacker, as we thought he was our supplier in XXXX : Bank Name : CITI BANK Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NJ XXXX Beneficiary Name : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account XXXX Routing XXXX Beneficiary XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NJ XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX Through XXXX conversation we found that our supplier in XXXX did not receive the transfer. Then, after checking slowly, we overlooked that made the transfer to an XXXX bank account and not in XXXX, but we thought the XXXX supplier has an account in XXXX, which is also normal, but that was the scam because he hacked our emails.
