I attempted to apply for a CARES Act mortgage forbearance through PNC Bank – where 6 months of payments can be deferred until the end of the mortgage, with no balloon payment required.
I was told that the only loan modification offered to me would be a 3 month forbearance, with a full balloon payment of 3 months of rent due at the end of the period. I was told the CARES Act modification was not available to me.

PNC has changed something digitally that prevents linking of accounts and digital payments. I now have to pay contractors with a credit card, and they get charged a fee. It’s absurd. We used to be able to pay them via ACH by linking our bank account.

I’ve been trying to link other banking accounts for transfers with pnc through XXXX. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt, I recently linked one of my accounts finally with no problem. Now I’m trying to do the same with another account but it keeps denying. This is the biggest inconvenience that pnc has been constantly causing withing the past year!
