usaa had a sales promotion that if you opened a direct deposit account to checking you would receive {0.00} after 60 days. I joined and received {0.00} in my account XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX, 2015. Under my account details they listed the {0.00} as INTEREST. IT WAS SALES PROMOTION. When I complained they list it as job income, other income, everything but a sales promotion, and then without my knowledge switch it back to interest received 2015. IT WAS A SALES PROMOTION, NOT INTEREST ON MY ACCOUNT. I have complained several times. I receive only XXXX social security. It being listed as interest or job income changes my IRS filing status. Basically what happened is before XXXX in 2015 someone that I do not know deposited checks into my bank account in the amount of XXXX dollars and withdrew the money from an atm in XXXX. I changed my password immediately on my USAA app on my phone and reported this fraudulent activity to USAA. I did not hear anything from them and suddenly my bank account was frozen and my account was XXXX. Shortly after I was unable to get any of my XXXX paychecks and the bank said that money can only go in not come out. I have not received any paychecks since this time and now they say that I owe XXXX to reopen my account. I am a XXXX veteran and times are tough I can not pay the XXXX and in addition to that I am unable to work to make any extra funds. would just like my money back that is mine and was payed to me from the XXXX administration and from social security. I have had Usaa for approximately 9 years and I feel like they have left me for chopped liver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed that USAA continues to report status " In Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy '' -last reported XX/XX/XXXX. Please see attached. Is that appropriate reporting? The other creditors reported it once in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX respectively and has not reported monthly since then.

Deposited {000.00} into account from my retirement service and they are holding the funds for 11 days even though the check issuer, XXXX bank says they can clear immediately if they contact them. I called my bank USAA and they said there is no way anybody can release anything that is an automated process and it determines itself the time to release funds. Are we not human anymore? I am facing eviction and that is the only reason I took money from retirement. This is abusive and it clearly shows how wrong the system is. They will keep that money until they legally can even though they got the funds cleared. That is stealing money from me and gaining interest or whatever works for the banks advantage. The laws should protect the consumer and the money you deposit should be released to you once it clears not when they say Please help us in amending these rules that clearly favors the banks and not the consumers.
