Wrongful Repossession and late payments showing on my credit reports : I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and was shocked when my vehicle was repossessed by USAA FSB in XX/XX/XXXX. I do n’t know how this could happen, especially, since my car loan has been set on ACH payments through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX since I purchased it.
The transactions on USAA.com that show reversals, do not match on my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX bank statements. The XX/XX/XXXX transactions screenshot only shows my auto insurance policy. There are no statements for late payments or missed payments. Also, the weekend that they repossessed my vehicle, there were large unexplained fees of {0.00} & {0.00} on my USAA.com account.
You can compare the bank statements on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX with my USAA.com transactions, payments or reversals … .They do n’t show on my bank statements.
My fianc at the time, and now husband, paid over {00.00} to USAA to redeem the repossession. And I tried to resolve this issue in the past but both institutions are placing blame on each other without accountability, nor reparations.
We have been trying to qualify for a home purchase loan and our efforts have been hindered due to the credit report lates and repossession remarks. Please help.

I am a cosigner on a loan with my son at USAA. The loan was for a {000.00} signature loan taken out in XX/XX/XXXX. At all times during this loan, payments were always made on time.
On XX/XX/XXXX, my son ( one of the applicants on the loan ) filed for bankruptcy. However, my ex husband and myself did not ( co-applicants on the account ). So according to the loan agreement, I am still responsible for the payment of this loan. I did not file for bankruptcy. After the bankruptcy was filed, USAA charged the account off and reported the account as a charge off to my credit report. This action dropped my credit score over 135 points. At the time this loan was charged off, the account was current. It is also noteworthy to mention that USAA took a payment on XX/XX/XXXX and subsequently returned it to my son. USAA never notified me that one of the applicants filed for bankruptcy and they never gave me an opportunity to make payments on the loan.
USAA is damaging my credit report by reporting this account as charged off. They charged the account off while it was current. Furthermore, a bankruptcy filing by one of the three applicants on the loan should not negatively affect the credit of the other two non-filing applicants, especially when payments have been made on time.

Product: Mortgage
Sub-Product: VA mortgage
Issue: Trouble during payment process
Full Complaint:
XXXX and USAA have continually raised my escrow payment to compensate for their misdeeds. In approximately one year of having this VA loan there have been three escrow analysis and two payment increases. This is highly unusual and unheard of.
The first increase, which has already been reported to CFBP, was due to USAA and XXXX targeting and discriminating against this Veteran. They willfully misappropriated my escrow account funds, charged me twice for a hazard payment depleting my escrow account and refused to refund the money they forced me to pay in unsupported fees and escrow ” shortages ”.
I went to pay my mortgage in XX/XX/XXXX only to find XXXX again raised my mortgage payment after performing a third escrow analysis or the second in less than a month.
Both USAA and XXXX have refused to provide a single point of contact within their company to address this matter and insist that I make numerous calls to talk to XXXX and then USAA even though XXXX is the servicer for USAA.
I am continually pushed to various agents within XXXX, left messages with no contact names or numbers, calls never returned, charged unsupported fees and forced to spend months pushing them to address these matters. All the while XXXX collects ” shortages and unsupported fees ” they refuse to return. This is targeted harassment and discrimination.
XXXX has refuse to fix their own system and have cause significant amount of distress and suffering. XXXX points to USAA and USAA points to XXXX to fix the fraudulent increases while neither do a thing and charge $ XXXX in unsupported fees and $ XXXX in escrow ” shortages ” that both USAA and XXXX admit they created through deceptive acts of double charging and using escrow money for purposes not contractually intended while pocketing the unused portions.
Simply put USAA and XXXX have continually used misused escrow funds at the expense and peril of the owner.
