Date of Complaint: February 28, 2019
Company Official Name: UNITED SERVICES AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION
State: TX
Product: Money transfer, virtual currency, or money service
Sub-Product: Mobile or digital wallet
Issue: Fraud or scam
Full Complaint:
On XXXX XX/XX/2019, {0.00} was sent to XXXX XXXX with the email address of XXXX via the XXXX XXXX hosted by USAA bank. I purchased a dachshund puppy from a person who told me his name was XXXX XXXX from phone number XXXX. On XXXX XX/XX/2019, the alleged shipper with an email of XXXX called me from XXXX ( XXXX, NJ ) at XXXX XXXX telling me that the puppy required a specific crate and demanded I send them {0.00} ( only through XXXX ) or else the puppy would die. I told them immediately that no legit company would ONLY allow payments through XXXX and that this is a scam. They continued to attempt to persuade me but I said no way you people are awful and ended the phone call. The individual who promised me a puppy that I paid for has continued to harass me regarding paying for this fraudulent shipment of a nonexistant puppy which I found out this scam is common, unfortunately, and there is a website devoted to warning people, but unfortunately I learned that too late.

Company Official Name: UNITED SERVICES AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION
State: NV
Product: Credit card or prepaid card
Sub-Product: General-purpose credit card or charge card
Issue: Struggling to pay your bill
Sub-Issue: Credit card company won’t work with you while you’re going through financial hardship
Full Complaint:
I was given the opportunity to pay my WHOLE credit card prior to it being late. When I talked to the representative, she indicated that if I made the payment in full ( when asked if I can get an extension because I had funds coming that was late that was being deposited in my account ), that they would ignore showing a late payment to the credit bureaus.
I made the WHOLE payment of over 10k as discussed, and within 3 days, they reported the late payment, thus showing a 130+ point decrease on my credit scores.
I have attached a statement that USAA had given me to show that it was NEVER late, and that I am in good standing.
