How Do I Contact Comcast?

The inside track to contact Comcast Xfinity execs. And what to do if they won’t listen…

So you have a problem with Comcast — maybe they are overbilling you, a salesperson misled you, or they won’t provide a rebate they promised. Trying to get Comcast refunds can be hard.

You might start trying to contact Comcast on their Main Customer Service line at 1-800-XFINITY or (800) 934-6489 or through their online customer service at https://www.xfinity.com/xfinityassistant/.

But if you’re looking for how to contact Comcast, you probably already tried those options, and are looking to contact a real person at Comcast who can actually do something.

How do I contact Comcast and get a real person?

Here are some customer service hacks you can use to contact Comcast’s corporate office and potentially reach a real person:

  1. Call the Comcast VIP Customer Service number at (855) 869-7188.

Want VIP treatment? We’ve learned that Comcast has a special customer service department just for wealthy and famous customers. There’s usually no wait time, and the agents are specially trained to be helpful and expedite your issue.

  2. Call the Main Line for Comcast’s Executive Offices at (866) 429-0152.

At this direct line to Comcast’s corporate office you can ask to speak with senior Comcast executives like the CEO or General Counsel (Comcast’s top lawyer). You probably won’t get through to a senior executive directly, but their assistant will often transfer you to an escalated customer service process that is more likely to get results.

(Be prepared: some customers have reported hostile and aggressive responses from Comcast when they try this out.)

How do I contact Comcast with a legal complaint?

When customer service can’t solve your problem, what’s the next way to try to contact Comcast? For a lot of dissatisfied Comcast customers, the next step is to start a legal process. You cannot join or start a class action lawsuit against Comcast but you still have options. You can file a complaint against Comcast and get your grievance heard.

If you want to contact Comcast to start a legal process, there are two ways:

  1. Begin Small Claims Court proceedings by contacting Comcast at their legal address.

To sue Comcast you start by sending a demand letter to contact Comcast at their legal address is an initial step in the Small Claims process. Instructions for following this process, and what to do after you contact Comcast, can be found here. It often gets customers what they want, but can take some navigation.

  2. Demand Consumer Arbitration from Comcast under your Comcast contract.

Arbitration is a type of dispute resolution that lets you bring your dispute with Comcast to an independent arbitrator. (Comcast’s contract is written to avoid class action lawsuits in regular court).

To initiate arbitration, the first step is to contact Comcast at their legal address with a legal notice. Contacting Comcast to initiate arbitration can get them to act — some customers with severe complaints against companies like Comcast get compensation in the thousands of dollars.
