Spirit Airlines Complaint

I canceled my flight within the time allowed and re booked at the same time a future date of 2 weeks. I even was told on line of a 46 dollar credit for future use within the next 60 days. i needed to stay longer and my new flight I went on the website to cancel and re book a future date but I was not able to find my flight. I called spirit and they told me it was never canceled and I was a now show and lost the full flight and had to re purchase a new ticket.

What would you like the company to do to fix the problem? (optional)
I am in the dominican republic so the government taxes are very high. I would like credit for future flight for the one way back to usa as I lost. to include government taxes.
