An old Uber account of mine was hacked and the hacker attempted to charge a few hundred dollars in rides to my various accounts and cards. I contacted Uber, provided the proof that the account was hacked, the charges were coming from Amsterdam and I live in Brooklyn, NY! They refused to help me by phone and the email support would not help me closed the old account down. I had to cancel all my cards, wait for refunds from my back, all around rent and school fee payment time. The stress this has caused exacerbated health issues I am already dealing with for me and my son. After doing some web research, it seems like there are tons of people who have had this happen and Uber is doing nothing about it!

Set up a better system to deal with hacked accounts. I want the old account closed. I want this to not happen to another person, where they feel helpless and get no support in stoping theft.
