Deceptive practices, lousy customer service, ineffective account management, and rude and unprofessional staff.
Briefly: I sold a home 4/4/19. The week prior, on 3/25/19, I called the company (800.593.4453) to cancel service. My phone records show that this was a 13 minute call. ADT did not cancel service, but continued to bill me and send letters that I was “at risk of losing my security services.” A “relocation specialist” who introduced himself as from ADT, called me several times. After doing some on-line research, think he may have been a subcontractor. After attempting to resolve this by phone, I finally sent a message via ADT’s web portal. Crickets. I called ADT again today and the individual I spoke with, Michael B——, was unprofessional, mocking and rude, calling me a “quibbler” and “making an issue out of this.” I asked to speak to a manager and he said there was no manager I could speak with as it was after 7pm. I asked if there would be a manager the next day I could speak with and he replied “Nope.”
