Charter Spectrum Customer service lied to me

I have been a LA cable customer since 1995. I travel outside the USA 5-7 months per year for that entire period. I placed a “Seasonal Hold” in January 2019 this year which is usually valid for up to 12 months. I asked for a hold to be placed between February til September of this year. While traveling abroad I discovered that Spectrum Charter cancelled my hold and billed me 2 months totalling over $360 for cable, internet and phone service I never used. SC says I cancelled the hold and would not budge on a reduced rate when I said let’s split the difference 50/50. 5 months later still and impasse. I want to cancel service and return cable box that has not been used for 10 months yet charged monthly fee as well. What’s a poor gypsy traveler to do? What are my legal options? I refuse to pay anything now. Please advise. Thanks David D.
