We had a booking in St. Martin’s from Dec 24-Jan 2 2019. In mid December, there was civil unrest on the French side of the island and we called AirBnB to cancel our trip based on US State Department warning and what we read in the media. Air BNB did not cancel and honor their extenuating circumstance clause. Instead the day of our trip advised that the island was safe for travel. They determined is was safe after speak with the host.

What would you like the company to do to fix the problem? (optional)
We requested a full refund as their was a potential for continued unrest and did not want our family placed in harms why. In addition, there was reports that tourists were unable to reach their accomidations on the French side as roads were barricaded.
