I have services from Cox now for over 8years, I ended up being displaced from my apartment for 4 days due to black mold issues for maintenance to fix that issue. I contacted Cox to inform them to temporarily move my services to the temporary apartment so I could continue working from home. After the 4 days I was informed that I could move back into my apartment so before I even moved back I contacted Cox again so they could transfer the services back to my original apartment and they informed me that it was set up and ready for us but it could take 2-24 hours. This was near the end of last october 2019. Now I have been contacting Cox almost every week from october 30 until January 14, 2020 informing them that my internet services are not working and in return I’m loosing work because I work from home. They kept telling me they think my router is no good and once they offered to send someone out to work on it and immediately I had got a signal on my laptop that I had internet so they canceled the work order. Later I found out that my daughter had turned my hotspot on and that was why my laptop had an internet signal a month later and many calls later once again I was calling about my services not working and they told me that they we’re shut off for non payment. They already had notes that I couldn’t access my mail due to the landlord not providing me a mail key and I was supposed to be getting my bills sent to my email. While I was on the phone with the billing department I was checking my emails because I knew I hadn’t received any bill. Then I came across an old bill in my archives which was addressed to the old temporary address and it was for the month of November. I knew I wasn’t living there in November so I asked her what was the address they had on file for me currently and sure enough its the temporary address that was supposed to be changed in october this call I was on was January 14th 2020. So she then informed me that Cox had put in the notes that my email address was not accessible and they changed my email address in their system to an email address that don’t exist and that’s why I wasn’t receiving my bills also that I was probably having the issues with my internet because it was servicing the wrong address and my router was out of range. Then she told me she would have to transfer me to another rep to deal with the issue but I would have to pay 156.93 to bring my account current to do so. I informed her that I only had 100.00 in my account but I could pay the rest 56.93 on the 27th of January. So I set up a payment to be taken from my account on the 27th then paid by debit the 100.00 on jan. 14th 2020. She then told me to ask them to refund payment dating back to october and credit my account with it and be refunded to my bank account the 156.93. So I said I would do that. She then transferred me to deal with the matter and it is now February 9th and the matter still has not been resolved. Since that date I have gained access to my mail box, received a bill for 309.00 and spent well over 43 hours on the phone with them hearing lie after lie. Somehow the 100.00 that was debited from my account was never paid, I was told i never brought my account current, they have transferred me to people that don’t even work for Cox, they never have ever once followed up and contacted me back about this issue, now they are trying to say that my “new service address is receiving the bill for non payment from an address that I never lived at for services that I’ve never received. They told me in the beginning that they we’re going to credit my account 309.77 starting as of January 15th 2020 and refund the 156.93 to my BMO Harris bank account. None of which has happened. I was also sent to so called corporate offices that spent 1hour trying to sell me stuff and had taken all of my personal information and later found out it was a fraud and now my bank info that I gave them I have had to close because I was getting fraudulent charges for escort businesses. I’m beyond frustrated
