Airbnb Claim for Compensation

Published on May 29, 2020

I cancelled my reservations on March 8, 2020 based on the COVID-19 pandemic. My vacation was supposed to be March 11-16, 2020. Before cancelling Airbnb notified me that if their extenuating circumstances policy changed within 10 days that I would be eligible for a refund. It changed on 3/14. The policy they put out on 3/14 (I have a copy and it states: Existing reservations made on or before 3/14 with a check in date of 4/14 or earlier and with at least one night occurring between 3/14 and 4/14 are covered) covers my stay. I asked for a refund and have been denied twice and then they offered me a credit for 130.94. This has gone unresolved for over 2 months. It’s time for a resolution. I need a refund for $1208.19.
