What Comcast did:
I was charged $580.00 for not returning equipment at the end of my service. However, the equipment was returned to the main office. I had my mother with me when I took the equipment back. This situation caused me a lot of grief when I moved back home, owing an almost $600 dollar bill, plus a deposit due to the outstanding balance. I could not afford this at the time and it ended up costing me a job. Due to the fact that I could not get internet through the one and only provider in my area at that time.
