AT&T Claim for Compensation

What AT&T did:
Well back in August 2019 I decided for all my families Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, and just to stay in touch to add lines of service including new phones to my account. I first ordered 3 Iphone11 ProMax and they came to me no problem. We activated and put them away. Then I decided to get 3 more iPhone 11 ProMax again paid the fees as the site online said and the phones were said to have been shipped, and the next day I was told there was a delay. I called ATT spoke to fraud and cleared the way for the phones, but then was told that ATT requested they would not be delivered to me but instead returned to the warehouse, and I would be credited back the charges for the phones since I was not going to receive them and ATT had requested they be returned. So I was told to reorder again. So I reordered the same 3 IPHONE 11 Pro Max phones, paid the fees accessed and they were to be delivered to me again at my home address. The next morning I checked email for updates and found the same thing happened again, that ATT had requested they be returned by the shipper. So again I called the fraud department and told them that I only had 3 IPhone 11pro Max phones and for them to please get my account straightened out and updated to show the returned phones from the shipper back to ATT.

I then got a letter stating that I owed ATT a massive $8000 plus for IPhones I never received or even activated… and the customer service person I talked to wasn’t very helpful and told me that I was responsible for payment of those 6 extra IPhones that were supposedly requested return by ATT because they felt I was trying to commit fraud. I didn’t ever get the blasted phones, to do anything with them. This is a definite red flag for me … I told customer service I was canceling all service with ATT and I wasn’t going to pay for merchandise I did not even get to open or receive at my home, they were returned to the ATT warehouse.

I don’t know what to do because I can’t get a competent person with ATT to understand and investigate this issue… they’ve turned me into all three credit bureaus and really have helped damage my credit … 2019 and 2020 were very bad years financially and 2021 isn’t looking any better either.
