What Optimum did:
In an attempt to terminate optimum services over the phone due to a lease non renewal in July 2020, I was instead being sold on a mobile plan. Since the agent did not make me aware that I would have needed -nor offered- to transfer me to any form of “disconnect department”, Past due balances for services in October accrued months after returning their equipment. Third party agents call daily to collect on said balance, an issue that not only shouldn’t exist, but has also now affected my credit score. I want the charges reversed, acknowledgement or confirmation that services was indeed terminated as initially requested, and an overall clean slate from a credit stand point.
