What Santander Consumer USA did:
Late fees were applied to every month, regardless of whether it was late or not, from the begining of the loan. They charged me a fee for every payment I made towards the loan of at least $20. The interest rate was well over anything I have seen in the past. The car was repossessed while it was not in default. It was also picked up 4 times during the loan due to “errors” in which I paid each time to get the car back.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
Removal from my credit.
