What AT&T did:
An in home expert for AT & T came to my home and said that if I switched over from T Mobile to AT & T, that I would get a free phone from him, the company, AT&T. This was not true….I quickly found this out when I received a bill and saw that I was being charged for the phone. Since I still had time to return the phone within 14 days if I was not happy with the company, I contacted AT&T, got a return label from them by email, and returned the phone in 11 days. I continued trying to get my taxes back that I had paid for the phone. I was calling AT&T almost every week attempting to get my money, but everytime, I kept getting promises, but no returned money. Then I received an email stating that my account was delinquent and they were threatening to turn it over to a collection agency. I still kept trying to tell them I returned the phone inside of their 14 day policy. I also had proof that the phone was returned to the warehouse. I have the tracking number from USPS. Still they refused to return my money. On April 20th. a collection agency called my home and stated that I owed over $700 to AT&T and that my account would be sent to the credit bureaus. I have the tracking number and the phone is in their warehouse. It got there on 3/19/2021. I also contacted the in home expert to help me, but he said there was nothing he could do. I don’t owe them anything, but they keep harassing me.
