What Uber did:
Hi there, there was a promotion sent to my email on 2/5 in regards to a promotion that states if I complete “ If you make less than $530 for your next 70 deliveries taken in New York City by Mar 3, 2021, you’ll get the difference.1 This is a special limited-time offer only” and the promotion will end on 3/3. I started the promotion because I wanted to take advantage of the promotion because I was facing financial problems considering my 2 kids that are fully remote learning are accumulating more bills. I started the promotion on 2/22 and ended my deliveries on 3/3. Just a reminder I did this just to take advantage of the promotion that being said I ended deliveries on 3/3 . In between my deliveries I took several screen shots of my progress just so I can be aware of the amount of deliveries I did. On March 3 I was so anxious to complete my 70 deliveries that I left my 9-5 early considering I would make more with Uber eats if I worked for them that day. “I LOST TIME FROM MY 9-5 FOR THIS” as I was ending my night I realized there was a glitch with the app( which happens often). Once the glitched happened the promotion was completely deleted from my app as if nothing was there. But I am glad that I took screen shots of the promotion and of what Uber eats said they would guarantee to pay me. I then proceeded by calling customer service and they were not helpful at all. I can’t count the amount of time I called and send messages to them. Response that I am getting back is that promotion expired and that it doesn’t apply to me. This is so frustrating knowing that I worked hard for this and they refuse to pay me for work that I completed. I risk my life working for them and maintain a 99% rating with customers and can’t believe this is the treatment that I am getting even after sending proof of the screen shots I took. I really hope you guys can help me. Thank you
