What Coinbase did:
On Coinbase Pro I made a deposit of $50 on 4/19/2021. Coinbase lets one trade with their deposit instantly before the ACH transfer is complete. However, coinbase disabled my account functions to include trading, buying, selling, withdraw, and deposit after the $50 deposit. The bank I was pulling the deposit from never showed this transaction and when I called my bank about it they had no idea what I was talking about. I had made multiple deposits from the same account before with no issues. I even tried to pay the $50 but I couldn’t even do that with how they disabled my account. Then, instead of retrieving the bogus $50 from my account, coinbase threatened to sell and take $50 worth of one of my cryptocurrencies. I have submitted multiple help tickets and they even had the audacity to tell me the problem was resolved when it clearly was not. I have been unable to use my account, where most of my net worth is, for weeks and I have missed very good investment opportunities because of this. Multiple crypto coins I was planning to buy have shot up since then and I have missed out on serious gains simply because coinbase is terrible. I did nothing wrong.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
Compensation for missed opportunities.
