What DirecTV did:
I was with direct tV 10 yrs out of contact I ordered a replacement remote control rep failed to inform me I was getting in rolled in 2 year contact. 2 months later I canceled service to inconsistent billing I was informed I had a cancellation fee. I sent back all equipment including remotes. After 10 plus hours on the phone with them I got no resolution was sent to collections so I ended up paying cancellation fees of $300
