What Discover did:
I was charged twice for a transaction that brought my account into the negative gaining interest until I found out and had to have my bank contact Discover to fix the issue. A month or so later, I saw I was still paying interest and also was charged twice a day after setting up payment arrangements. I contacted discover explaining this is the second time, so they told me to put a stop payment to avoid both transactions going through. I ended up paying return fees and interest again. In may, I was able to get my balance under 50% and tried to pay over the phone again after 2 successful tries, only to be told I cannot pay with my debit after I just had. For a weak or so I called trying to pay my balance to zero and each operator said it couldn’t be done. then, today I found out they decreased my limit, after i made a lump sum payment, only to leave me now at even higher risk of my credit score dropping after it just raised. I am now back to worl after the pandemic shutdown and nothing on my credit report changed to have my account decreased. Please help.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
I would just like to be able to pay my balance down to zero without connecting my bank account and have my original credit line back. I have stated that in May and June prior to being treated like less than.
