What Comenity did:
Back in April of this year I had made arrangements to pay-off my credit card. As of April 2, 2021 the final payment (or what I believed was the final payment) was withdrawn from my checking account. I then received a statement in the mail that said I owed more than $100 for fees. I called on 8/17/2021 and they insisted that I still owed them money. Both times I requested an email stating that this is now paid in full and the account is closed. I still have not received an email. I was only given a confirmation number for my payments. This has now hurt my credit because they continue to report missed payments. I need help.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
I want a refund and for them to fix the error they reported to the credit bureau’s.
