What Vivint did:
Vivint required me to open a line of credit with Fortiva for smart home/security system, which I paid off. I moved to a new home and Vivint does not provide service in that area. I was told to return the equipment to receive a refund of the money paid on the line of credit for the equipment. I used the FedEx label that Vivint sent me and returned the equipment. I have not received a refund and Ms. Dao, a legal assistant has accused me of lying about paying Fortiva. I’ve provided a copy of my Fortiva statement showing a zero balance and a letter from Fortiva verifying that my account is paid in full. Ms. Dao has asked for my bank statements and refused to issue a refund.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
A refund with interest. Compensation for emotional damages and character defamation.
