PayPal Claim for Compensation

What PayPal did:
Hello. I had an old PayPal account which in December of 2019 switched to a business PayPal account to be able to accept PayPal on my websites which are dating and friendship sites. Our customers buy subscriptions on our website which are $9.99, $24.99. $49.99. $89.99 depending on the kind of package they choose ( monthly, quarterly, every 6 months, and so on. As soon as we started this in 2019, the business kept growing and our subscribed customers kept getting more and more. Obviously, PayPal was charging transaction fees for each one of our transactions which those fees gradually increased which is all OK. Like any company we also have some dispute cases in which we have been winning 95% of our dispute cases since we provide sufficient evidence that the service was used, including the member’s IP address and other info which makes it very obvious that the customer received the service and used it. All of the sudden on August 2nd/2021 out of nowhere, they added a radicals dispute fee on my account of $30 PER dispute regardless of what the amount of the transaction is, regardless if I win the case or not. In other words, even for a $9.99 transaction dispute that we are winning, they started charging us $30 PER dispute which basically means, even if I win the $9.99 dispute case or $34.99 dispute case, I still end up giving PayPal money out of pocket and is a loss for me. Some customers are just trying to pull a scam and file a dispute after using the service for months and then go back and file a dispute for previous months of the subscription after using the service just to get a free service which we ended up winning all these cases and prove that the customer is the one that was trying to pull a scam but PayPal still ends up charging us $30 PER dispute for the scam that the customer wanted to pull. We don’t have many different individuals filing a dispute. It is just those few that are filing a dispute, they file 3 or 4 disputes for previous months too, trying to take advantage of the system, use a service for months, and then file a dispute for a few months to get a free service. So since August 2nd/2021 PayPal has been literally stealing all of our profits, by talking $30 multiple times during the month for each disputed case, regardless if we win or lose or the amount of the dispute case, as much as $900 just for dispute fees monthly, not allowing to transfer our recurring profiles that established over the past 2 years to another account or anywhere else and keeps charging us theses fees daily to a point that I had to stop all the new recurring transactions in my business PayPal account and switch to other payment processing platforms. Before this case, they were nice to me since they could see that our business kept growing, kept sending me business loan offers but once I brought these dispute fees to their attention, they kept closing the support chats on me. Disconnect the call on me and are totally ignoring my requests and put an automated system on my account to just take $30 for each disputed case as soon as it is filed. The only answer they give me is that on August 2nd/2021 we updated our fees for only those accounts that have a dispute rate of 1.5% and above, plus over 100 sales transactions in the last 3 full months. I said that this fee was not on the terms when I initially signed up with PayPal and if I knew about it, I would have never signed up with PayPal in the first place. I understand your fees change adding a couple of percentages to the transcript fees and so on but not all of the sudden coming up with an outrageous $30 dispute fee regardless of the amount of the transaction or if I win the case or not and then locking my recurring profiles so I would not be able to transfer them anywhere else. A fee like that destroys my business and most of my transactions are not even $30. PayPal says we did this to encourage business owners to give better customer service which I kept explaining that I give excellent customer service and have been doing everything possible to prevent any dispute case but some customers are simply scammers. They are the ones that try to take advantage of the system, file disputes AFTER using a service for a few months for previous months too, LOSE the case since and you still end up charging me $30 for each disputed case file. You should charge them for wanting to pull a scam. Why are you charring me that am a legit business owner doing everything the right way? So almost every single day PayPal is taking money from my account, stealing all my profit, not even allowing the recurring profiles established in the account over the past 2 years so they could not get transferred anywhere else. I said if there is a new outrages dispute fee that you came up with AFTER August 2nd/2021, then it should apply for those that opened a business account AFTER that date and not those that have already established plenty of recurring profiles in their account in the past. They had absolutely no idea or thought in a million years that all of the sudden you could come up with an unfair and ridiculous fee like this with this kind of terms. Even one of PayPal’s agents told me this is not fair. It is like me charging the customer that I am charging $9.99 monthly, $99.99 monthly all of the sudden, lock their account so they wouldn’t be able to go anywhere else and my only excuse would be well, we added this new fee to our terms. I understand a couple of percentage of transaction fee increase but a big fee like this with this kind of rules is something that should have been told me in the first place, then I would have never ever signed up with PayPal and established plenty of recurring profiles in this account. No company out there charges $30 for a dispute case and if they do, it is about $15 and only if you lose the case. This is crazy. They are ignoring my messages and keep closing the support chats, disconnecting calls, and automatically taking money from my account and I don’t know what to do. They practically deceived me by thinking PayPal has no dispute fee since until before August 2nd/2021 they were not charging any dispute fee, then all of the sudden added are ridiculous fee like this after I establish a bunch of recurring profiles in my account which is practically destroying my business and their only excuse is, well we just added this fee after August 2nd/2021 which you will be charged$30 for every single dispute. On the other hand, PayPal made it extremely easy for people to file disputes with a couple of mouse clicks. Other financial institutes, payment processing platforms, and banks encourage the customer to contact the business owner first or show sufficient evidence before filing a dispute. PayPal put the dispute link right in front of them in the account so they easily file a dispute and then charge the business owner $30 per dispute. I have a record of all the fees they charged me. My conversation is with their support and screenshots of them told me that this was something they came up with only AFTER August 2nd/2021 which was never there when I opened my business account. I can provide all the records required. This is simply taking advantage of businesses, destroying them, and stealing all their profit which is simply not acceptable and I believe any logical individual will see how we were deceived in getting something we had no idea about and then get trapped in that account with a customer service that keeps closing the support chats on you watching your money being taken automatically from your account almost every day. This is done not just for me but for other businesses too that are falling into this trap. Please let me know if you can help me with this case. I can provide all the required documents needed including the total amount they charged me so far. I need all those dispute fees back and the automated $30 dispute fee charge to be taken from my account immediately. A business owner should know what he is getting into before and be aware of all the fees associated with transactions and not all of the te sudden become surprised with a crazy fee like this with this kind of terms since these fees make and break businesses. This is an outrageous fee they came up with for certain accounts after August 2nd/2021 and should not apply to those that opened a business account before that. This fee was never on their terms when I signed up and this kind of fee with this kind of terms is simply stealing business’s profit. Please let me know if you can help me with this case. I apologize for any typo error since I was trying fast. Thanks

They need to pay back the $1140.00 that they took from my account so far which keeps increasing daily since they keep charging me daily. In other words, all the $30 dispute fees they added to my account after August 2nd/2021 should be refunded. They also should remove this $30 automate dispute fee of $30 from my accout immediately. Thanks

PayPal Claim for Compensation

What PayPal did:
I am writing because PayPal, a company of which I have been a customer for 10 years, claims that I owe a debt of $67.88 on my account balance but this amount is related to a refund that I am owed from eBay PayPal (PP) refuses to acknowledge/accept. They are threatening to turn the balance overt to collections, which will affect my near-perfect credit score.

After more than 120 days, I am still waiting for PP to process a refund for an item that I purchased via eBay on June 16, 2021, but then returned via FedEx on July 1, 2021. The seller received the item on 07/07/2021. The seller confirmed that I would be issued a refund of $67.88 within 48 hours of my message on 07/24/2021, which also confirmed receipt of the return. By 07/31/2021, I had not received the refund and therefore began a dispute process with PayPal since the seller had previously been slow to respond to my return request on 06/24/2021.

PP gave me provisional credit of $67.88 on 08/10/2021 via my Capital One visa credit card but then initially closed the case by claiming that it does not meet the billing dispute criteria and revoked the credit on 08/21/2021 via my Capital One bank account, which was reversed by Capital One on 10/15/2021.

This action has meant that my PP account has been in the negative for the promised refund amount of $67.88 despite providing all supporting documentation via two disputes; Capital One settling reopening and then settling case in my favor on 9/14/2021; and eBay stating via email and chat that they did issue a refund on 10/29/2021 and 11/27/2021 respectively.

PayPal has been absolutely opaque, obtuse, and obstructive in resolving this issue via phone and chatunlike my bank and eBay. I sent a letter and all my documentation to their error department in Omaha, NE on 11/1/2021 outlining these facts and requested a response within 30 days of the postmark date. The letter was received on 11/03/2021. This action seems to have only resulted in PP denying my dispute on 11/22/2021, which involved and was resolved by my bank. They state that my purchase does not qualify for their Purchase Protection.

What PayPal did:
I filed a complaint against a company that never sent a product I purchased. I emailed the company with no response and the company’s website no longer exists. I sent all this information and proof to PayPal and they denied my claim saying the company, same company I cant reach, sent them tracking and delivery proof. I asked PayPal to provide the information to me and how they were able to contact the company. I never received a response from PayPal. For all I know of its PayPal fake company and PayPal has my money.

Product is a PS5 console purchased November 7th for $366.66 from website pswellkage.com.
