What DoorDash did:
You guys SUCK!!!
I ordered food on a restaurant’s website for delivery.
The delivery was picked up from the restaurant, and I was given a delivery time.
My delivery time kept being updated and increased as time progressed.
Finally, after two hours of waiting, the driver “canceled” the delivery.
When I found out the delivery was “canceled,” I called the restaurant and was told the food had been “picked up.”
I was told to call Doordash since the driver “canceled” the delivery.
I then called Doordash’s Customer Service.
Customer Service said the driver claimed he had a car break down.
I was given the option of a refund or a redelivery of the food I had initially ordered.
I told Customer Service that the redelivery for my food would be ideal.
The food order was placed AGAIN (the redelivery)!
I NEVER received the redelivery!
The following morning, I called Doordash again.
I told Customer Service I never received my original food delivery or the redelivery of food from the previous afternoon.
I asked for another redelivery (third delivery).
My third delivery NEVER arrived either!
I spoke to Doordash, who put me on a three-way phone call with the restaurant manager.
The manager said someone picked up the food from Doordash in the morning (the third food order)!
I heard Dashers (the delivery workers) complain about their tip amounts on social media.
I also heard from several people that Dashers will routinely “cancel” a delivery if they don’t like the amount of the “tip” after the pick up of food.
When I ordered my food on the restaurant’s website, the service fee and tip were automatically applied to the price.
I saw no option for a manual entry to apply a tip amount.
Again, the cost of my food, tax, service fee, and tip were all tallied to a final cost.
Doordash NEEDS to ban (FIRE) drivers who accept a job, pick up the food, then cancel the delivery.
These unethical Dashers are giving Doordash a bad name and reputation.
These Dashers are STEALING food from restaurants.
Restaurants are losing money because they cannot charge a customer for an order which was not received, and the restaurant has to eat the cost for the unpaid food.
This is probably happening all over where Doordash is used as a delivery service.
Doordash, FIRE these people!!!
SO BE AWARE, IF THE DASHER DOES NOT LIKE THE TIP AMOUNT:
1.) THE DASHER MAY ACCEPT THE JOB TO DELIVER YOUR ORDER.
2.) THE DASHER MAY CANCEL YOUR ORDER AFTER PICKING IT UP AS PUNISHMENT.
3.) THE DASHER WILL KEEP YOUR FOOD, WITH THE ADDED BONUS OF NOW HAVING FREE FOOD.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
Fire these bad employees.
Businesses should BAN Doordash altogether!
