What Google Nest did:
Google Nest will not honor the warranty on their products.

I have a nest thermostat that is under warranty that broke and Google agreed to warrant it.

The warranty specifies that they will replace with a factory refurbished product. Unfortunately, it appears that they do not actually refurbish any products. Instead, they just send someone else’s broken thermostat.

The first replacement that they shipped (after requiring a $180 deposit) is non functional and is actually worse than my original defective unit.

They agreed to replace again and shipped a FILTHY thermostat that has thick finger-SCUM all over it. It is absolutely disgusting.

As of now, I still do not have a properly operating thermostat, and although they are sending yet another used thermostat, they are breaching the warranty by not refurbishing them before sending them out.

What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?

I would like either a brand new working thermostat or my money back (including sales tax). I would also like to be reimbursed for my gas and services in delivering their disgusting broken thermostats to FedEx for return shipment (3 times).
