What Charter Spectrum did:
My monthly billing cycle ends the first of each month. Something that was never clearly explained by Spectrum. I called on January 15, 2022 to end my services with them and instead of ending my services on that day, they decided to let it run and charged me for the entire month $79.99. When I called them on January 24, 2022 to tell them my concern, and a supervisor name Kayla explained to me that base on policies they will not be able to prorate the bill and that they were going to charge me for the entire month. This was a waste of time on my end. I was supposed to be editing a video that is worth over $,1000, but instead I was force to call them before they close to get everything fixed. They gave me the run around with this topic costing me more money hurting my productivity. I have the recording of the call where the supervisor (Kayla) basically stated that the explanation on the policy is located in the bill and that is my responsibility to read this information. When we sign up with them they never told us about this information nor did they send us a paper bill, since we were on auto-pay. Therefore, we did not know where to see this document nor did we know how to access it. That the only way I saw our billing statements was through our bank statements. When my wife went to deliver their equipment to a branch near our house, they told us that I had never called to cancel the service and that the service was still running. This makes me understand that the customer service representative who spoke with me on January 15, 2022 did not processed the cancellation on purpose so that I would be charged the rest of the month which is completely unacceptable.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
A refund for the extra charges and to recompense the money I lost since I had to called their customer services line during my video editing productivity time.
