What Straight Talk did:
My Name is Juan ***** My Ex wife Frances ***** is writing this for me as I do not know how to use a computer. Purchased phone in 2019 in Walmart Milford Pa. 18337 as I have difficulty writing checks we allowed Straight Talk to take the monthly amount from my checking account. Shortly after purchase went to Puerto Rico Telephone did not work in
Puerto Rico. Since the phone did not work, I could not use the telephone to cancel it. I called with the help of a relative to make the call to cancel in sept or October of 2019. The agent we spoke to assured me even though I could not find my PIN they would cancel my phone. at that point I put the telephone away and bought another telephone in Puerto Rico. I became very ill in Puerto Rico and COVID started and I remined there for several months. On my return to Pennsylvania, I was very very ill and almost died. I had to have 24 hour care and thank Goodness I’m much better I can no longer walk and need help in the house. As recently had to apply for assistance for my medications I asked Frances to help me filling the paperwork out, Viewing my bank account she noticed that Straight Talk has continued to withdraw monthly payments since 2019 with no usage on the telephone. I will be 75 years old and on restricted income. When she saw this yesterday, we called Straight Talk after 1hour 21 minutes we got a live representative. This person was not much help they asked to get the phone and plug it in so we could get certain numbers off the telephones inner workings which with much difficulty we were able to get them she looked the account up and then wanted the PIN which we had no idea was. Next, she wanted the last four number of cards used. We did not have the card available. We were told she could not cancel account without that and transferred us to someone else. After waiting again, we were given the option of a call back
. When the call came in, they needed all the information again the previous agent told me that I would not have to look those numbers up again they would be in the records NOT TRUE! On the telephone at 5:00 pm I spoke to an agent with a Rooster going crazy in the background!!! This guy would not give me his name and said there was no record of a cancel at any time but did say there was no use on the phone since 2019 he again wanted all numbers off the phone. I told I was assured from the previous agent that all was saved to Juan’s record. NOT TRUE, I believe that is why he says there was no record of Juan canceling in 2019. PLEASE HELP us recoup moneys removed from Juan’s account with Absolutely no services rendered. My number is ***-***-**** I have been on hold for 30 minutes to try and speak to a person that can hear and understand my problem without a Rooster @#$%&! a doodling over us. This agent had no ability to help at all and transferred me again after an hour at the point of transfer the phone was disconnected!
