What Charter Spectrum did:
For years, charged a 90-year-old for service level she was not receiving in her internet output + since May of 2020, same senior customer has called Spectrum at least 5-7 times to request help getting her HBO Max on her SmartTV (she has been paying for a “Silver” package that includes it) — a few days ago, someone visiting was able to install HBO Max for her. When we escalated the complaints about the horrible service and the charges for undelivered service, Bob (escalation manager) said NO record of ANY calls from her were found on the account for this matter. So either Bob is lying or they have techs through time who have lied about this. We are talking about THOUSANDS of overpaid bills that have received inferior service, including WiFi speed, over decades of connection in this home. They have been warned repeatedly that when this customer passes away, they are out of this home the next day!
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
Refund is the least of it, they offer pennies a day for compensation. New equipment that she’s been paying for, like an all-in-one modem so she can ditch the router would be nice. We would even consider all proposals at this time. We think it’s horrific that they knowingly stole from her repeatedly for decades and hate them and will NEVER have their service ourselves!
