What Uber did:
Placed order on Uber eats March 14th 2022. The order was for a meal from Carrabba’s Italian Grill. The order was delivered and left on my doorstep with no notification. The driver never knocked on the door nor rand the doorbell. All this was recorded on my Ring camera. After I realized it had been awhile I went outside and noticed the bag sitting there in the cold. The food was cold and unsafe to eat at that point. I notified Uber and Carraba’s. I tried getting a refund from Uber and the merchant to no avail. I disputed the transaction through AMEX and the money was refunded. However, Uber has placed a hold on my account until I pay them back for the transaction. The customer service is poor and the only means of contacting them is through email/chat without resolution. I feel it’s best to take this action to court and make sure these recurrent issues with Ubers business practices cease and they develop a customer support line for non emergencies to rectify situations such as mine
