ADT Claim for Compensation

What ADT did:
Had the adt equipment for 5 months, paid every month on time however our equipment has never worked properly since the day of installation. Adt wants to charge $4000 for canceling. I followed their contract and had 3 service technicians come out and have been told if it was not fixed after 3 tech visits I would not receive a cancelation fee.

I want a full refund of what we have paid as well as a free cancelation
