What Airbnb did:
Between 4/22/22 and 4/24/22 a guest flooded the bathroom and bedroom while staying at our property, booked through Airbnb. After submitting a claim with photographic evidence, Airbnb denied the claim, stating the damage was not caused by the guest. The guest was instructed not to use the bathtub via Airbnb messages. The bathtub still had water pooled in it after checking out. The guest had every towel, bath mats and carpets in the dryer from cleaning up the water. The flood caused water damage to the flooring and subfloor. Estimate submitted show damages of $7,988 plus lost income of $669.37.
