American Home Shield Claim for Compensation

What American Home Shield did:
2 issues: AHS has still not replaced my upstairs AC unit, first requested in July 2021. I have followed up regularly — always an “escalation” but nothing ever done. They replaced my downstairs unit in July 2021 with a new unit, we came $2200 out of pocket for uncovered costs. That unit is now not functioning. A contractor assessed the newly installed unit this week — AHS is saying the Freon is uncovered due to improper installation (which they themselves handled) and we will have to come out of pocket for that. They have no record of a current report on the (upstairs) unit that was approved to be replaced in July 2021.

We have been dutifully paying monthly premiums and not even getting returned phone calls, let alone resolution. We should have all premiums since July 2021 fully refunded. Accounting of above number as well: $2200 for unit and $700 for Freon into a unit known to be leaking. Plus $2600 out of pocket estimated costs for upstairs unit replacement. Plus approximately $1200 spent on portable air conditioners.
