Bank of America Complaint
What Bank of America did:
Bank of America is holding my money even after closing my account . I don’t have a judgment against me nor do I owe any money to anybody , not even the bank that’s holding it . They are saying they froze my funds because they can’t verify the funds are mine & they don’t know how long it would take to get my money , they won’t give me any more information other than that . I feel helpless & just want my money back . I’ve never heard of a bank being able to hold your money after account closure , considering these are transactions/ deposits that was already posted/cleared , transactions/deposits that was made available before the account got frozen & closed . They are lying about their deposit account agreement saying this process is stated in the contract which it is not & they also tell me that they have all rights to hold my funds & send it to the holding department after account closure . It’s only 2 transactions that I’ve ever made on my account , one was a ach transfer which was used to funds my new Bank of America account & it went through successfully & the second one was an ATM cash deposit .
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem?
