ADT Claim for Compensation
What ADT did:
Against my better judgement, I had ADT installed in my home in May of 2022. I have had multiple service issues with the equipment. The (2) technicians that came (3) separate times, have both lied on the work orders submitted from the service calls. I specifically requested different technicians because of them being extremely rude with myself and my wife. I called to cancel shortly after install, to which they informed me they would just send another technician. As of now, I am within the 6-month “money back guarantee” period and am trying to cancel the contract. I am being charged $4k to discontinue a 2 year contract I have had for 5 months. Customer service is rude and provides no assistance other than transferring my calls for over 2 hours when I call. The first person tried to keep us from cancelling for another month, I assume, to be outside of the 6 month period. I need help. To this point, I’ve paid almost $1k for the equipment and services.
