T-Mobile Claim for Compensation
What T-Mobile did:
Hello. In August 2022 I signed up for a promotion via the T-mobile website offering a free Samsung Galaxy zFlip 4 phone “with eligible trade-in”. My trade-in phone was happily deemed eligible, so my understanding was that after the requisite 24-month term of the agreement I would have paid nothing for the new phone. I’m asking for a refund of the $493.58 I will have paid for the phone after 24 months.
I was not able to achieve satisfaction after extensive conversation with “Alex”, employee # 280003. She insisted she was the end of the road when it came to my complaint, denied there was an appeals process, a workplace “superior” with whom I might speak, anyone I might write, or any other avenue for settlement; and that speaking with her was equivalent to having already escalated my complaint.
I am thoroughly convinced the manner in which T-mobile conducted the promotion, with continued reference to a “free phone”, is deceptive and, quite likely, fraudulent. I have been a loyal customer for many years, enduring countless hours of technical support time due to poor cellular signal, and never having a late payment.
There is no way I would have paid hundreds of dollars for a new phone during these difficult times. I deserve better, and appreciate your consideration.
