Vrbo Claim for Compensation

What Vrbo did:
We paid an extra $200 pet fee to bring our dog to a property in Dana Point, CA 6/28-7/31. Before we left we made sure the property was free of any trace there was a dog. After we left the owners filed a claim against our deposit citing excessive dog hair. A total lie. We contacted VRBO to dispute the claim. They never followed up on our claim and just allowed the host to keep our deposit of $500
