What Charter Spectrum did:
I requested to transfer my account to my roommate. Upon initiating the process, spectrum locked my online account. When I called spectrum, they told me to go to a spectrum office with my roommate. At the spectrum office, their agent advised me to close the account and let my roommate open a new one at no cost to me. After complying with the agents advised spectrum decided to charge me $85 for closing the account.
