Equifax Complaint
What Equifax did:
I contacted Equifax pertaining to there data breach after seeing it on the news and then obtaining my credit report and noticing fraudulent accounts on my report. I first asked that they verify where I gave consent or agreed to these fraudulent accounts, per there data policy. Equifax refused to comply and hung up. I then sent them a complaint to thru the CFPB (complaint#220808-9190804) for not following there data policies per there policy. Which they failed to comply. I then filed complaint #221002-9497740 through the CFPB, per 15 USC 1681i(7) I the consumer request a description of the reinvestigation referred to in 15 USC 1681i (6)(B)(iii). Then filed CFPB #221108-9721985, #230109-10100206. Which Equifax has clearly and willfully failed to comply by US federal codes Congress set out. Equifax has defamed my character, and reputation, they have violated my right to privacy. Ive been emotional and mentally distressed do to this grave intentional error. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681n there’s civil Liability for the willful noncompliance of the FCRA.
