What Vivint did:
Vivent sold my 85-year old uncle a security package that he’s incapable of using. (He can’t even manage a cell phone) It controls his heating thermostat so he can’t adjust it himself; he has no idea how to arm the alarm system, and even worse, how to use the Lifeline-type emergency button-on-a-necklace if he falls & can’t get up. He paid thousands for this, plus a monthly fee of about $60. All he needs is a Lifeline setup, which costs about $300 a year and requires no tech ability. They talked this poor elderly guy out of thousands for useless technology he doesn’t need and is instead an expensive burden. Basically, this “security “ company robbed him.
