Vivint Complaint

What Vivint did:
A door to door salesman rang the doorbell. We answered the door and he immediately gave us his scripted lines. As young homeowners listening to what he was saying, we became pressured into signing up to start with his security system, if we wanted to be safe in our new home.

We signed the paperwork and got equipment installed. Not knowing this was going to be a forever long endeavor.

We continue to get sales calls to “upgrade” the “outdated” equipment. I took one of those calls and I’m not even sure what I agreed to because when I called to cancel (about 1 year later), I was told I had to pay off the equipment before I could cancel services.

Much to my surprise, during that one call I agreed to something more than I was already paying for that would take another year to pay off, or I could call Citizens Bank and pay the $1,000+ that I still owed.

I am still trying to cancel this “service” and I am having absolutely no luck.

Vivant also raised my monthly bill $5 a month. I know $5 a month doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re living paycheck to paycheck, it is.

I have completely unplugged any and all equipment that they have installed within my house. But I am still being charged monthly.
