What Optimum did:
I cancelled my Optimum Service in June of 2023, so it would end on July 1st, 2023 on the last day of my lease. Optimum has charged me every month since now totaling nearly $300 in additional charges, and I have spent 6+ hours on the phone with their customer service where I have been told all of the following things: “You’re account is closed so w cannot make changes to the account anymore even if you are being charged.” “Even if your account is closed you will be turned over to collections for not paying”. They even went as far to “send” me a refund check that never arrived for the equipment charge they charged me, because they claim my equipment was never received after I closed my account. I have all of the call logs, and emails.
