What Optimum did:
Turned me over to collections for phone service that I never had. All agents acknowledged that no number was ever set up but account was closed (???). I spoke with several customer service reps one finally said the only way I could remove myself from collection was to pay the bill and they would reimburse me. I asked them about writing to the credit reporting bureaus to let them know it was in error and they would not do that. They even had the wrong e-mail for me. I have tried calling corporate office but only got hold of one person who said they were not authorized to give out any information on corporate including verifying address and said they had no human resource department. I can’t think of any company more crooked.
