What Discover did:
A balance transfer was due on September 14th. I submitted payment for the full balance over the phone via the Discover pay by phone number, but was told it would first be processed the following day. I contacted Discover to inform them that this was not fair, since the day is still September 14th, and I am paying on September 14th, and should not be responsible for intertest due to Discover deciding to post payment and process it on the 15th of September. The Discover agent said she noted that I paid on September 14th on my account and promised that if interest dis post, I should call up and it would be promptly removed. On October 15th, I noticed that interest had posted on October 13th. I called up Discover, and was told that they see the notes, would remove the interest, and answered in the affirmative that I would not see any future interest fee on my account after I inquired of such. On November 26th, I called Discover again after I noticed that interest posted again on November 13th. This time, the agent told me that he could not help and remove the interest charge since it was already removed the prior month. This despite the fact that I was already promised that no future interest would be posted to my account. Discover has no shame of breaching their contract and promises on a paying customer. This is taking extensive time to resolve for an unjust situation, and I am being taken advantage of by Discover.
