Vivint Collections Issues

I just filed a complaint with the FTC about Vivint taking large sums of money out of my account without invoicing me or letting me know of the charges. Here is what I stated in my complaint: I transferred my home security system from my old home to a new home in November 2019. A technician came out to add the equipment back and I also added more equipment. I was told I would receive credit fo…

Vivint Won’t Let Me Cancel

Vivint stated they called my Father in 2017 and he agreed over the phone to allow them to monitor his home. My Father was already being monitored by Brinks since 2016. Not only has Vivint NEVER provided monitoring of his home but they have sent him a paper bill every month since 2017. My Father has paid it faithfully by check every month. My Father’s not only paying Vivint but he was slammed in December 2019 by door solicitors and he’s now paying 3 different alarm companies. I’ve spoken to Vivint twice and sent email once. I requested the audio of the phone call from 2017, I requested cancellation of the contract I’ve never seen and I’ve requested a refund of 1500.00 dollars which he’s p…

Vivint Product Wasn’t What I Was Promised

A salesman came to my house this afternoon unannounced. He did not tell me his name, but said that he had seen my Vivint doorbell and wanted to make sure everything was working alright. The motion sensors are not supposed to go off for anything less than 50lbs, and my cat weighs no more than 12. He asked if he could come look at my panel, which took all of 20 seconds. He then began asking me odd questions like “do you live alone?” , ” do you have a boyfriend?”. “does your door shut okay at night?” It made me very uncomfortable and took about…

Vivint Lied About the Price

Have had several issues with vivint mostly during the initial install. They did a bait and switch based on initial projections from a solar array design that was completely different than the one installed and increased the price they would charge based on lack of sun exposure. We were also told that they would maintain the array at no cost and if we wanted to repair or replace our roof they would take the panels off for a fee of $500. Now when we were looking into updating our roof the fee is $1800. They used deliberate dishonest practices to mislead us into believing we would be saving money and our electricity bill is the same as it was before. Now we just have 2 power companies. Also…
